This place was so delicious!! Great vibes, friendly service, and amazing food. I got the chilaquiles rojos and it was so good. A crazy amount of food and all of it hit. Nice beans, great potatoes, tender pork, runny eggs, and the best part … More

Excellent meal was had for a reasonable price. The menu is extensive. Carnitas were awesome and a generous portion. They offer homemade corn and flour tortillas. My companion loved the enchiladas so much that we had to wait until he ate every last one. No desserts this time. Definitely recommend. More

This is one the best Mexican restaurants in town. No meal is bad here. You will clean your plate. Chips and green sauce they serve pre meal is addictive. Relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Enjoy it for lunch. More

It's a relatively affordable, authentic Tex-Mex experience in the heart of Houston Heights.
I would say the pros are their fresh handmade tortillas are very good, their menu is on the cheaper end compared to most other sit-down Tex Mex places, and the menu is huge with lots of variety.
The con I would say is the quality can sometimes be hit or miss but probably comes with the cheaper price tag. Still would come back!
Their fajita meat was a bit thinner and not as juicy as I would've liked but still had good flavor
Waitresses are friendly and ambience is great and authentic

I came in on a rainy day and it was pretty busy. There’s tons of seating but it is a little crowded. I came in with a large party and the service was good and accommodating to us. The woman was very kind and helpful. I got a chicken quesadilla and it was light, flavorful, and delicious. The nachos were also very good. I had an horchata and it wasn’t super flavorful but it was refreshing for sure. My family got a quail dish, not the biggest fan but it was a new thing for us to try at a Mexican restaurant. Overall, not bad.

The food here is decent, and the service sucked for us. Our waitress kept seeing us from a distance but never really checked on us only to take our order and charge us. We won't ever be coming back to this spot that was recommended.

Ordered 1 lbs of beef and 1 lb chicken fajitas with flour and corn tortillas. When I went to review the food, the guy started taking things out and assured me it was all there.
No pico de gallo, no corn tortillas, .75 lbs of beef. When I tried to call, they picked up the phone and left it there without saying anything. Busy tone for 30m+ after attempting to call.
We are locals and have spent a good amount of money here, but the service is quite bad.

Service here was amazing. They were incredibly attentive and kind.
The food was great! I had their caldo de res and my cousins got a fajita platter and they both tasted great. The rice wasn't my favorite, but it was flavorful. The tortillas here are also not my favorite, but they get the job done. The meat, however, was delicious, well-seasoned, and moist!

I visited this place after reading positive reviews, but my experience was just okay.
The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the overall experience better. However, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations.
The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly good either. It was just decent. I wouldn’t be disappointed if I ate there again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.
The prices are a bit high, but considering the area, rent is probably not cheap. You could find comparable food elsewhere for less.
One major disappointment was the fresh waters. They were not fresh at all. You could tell they were made using a powder or some kind of syrup. The flavor was almost non-existent, and the flavors that did exist tasted artificial. I asked for a tamarindo water, and it was awful. I asked for it to be switched to a lemonade, and it was just as bad.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend traveling to this place to eat. I would only recommend it if you’re nearby and want some decent but not great Tex-Mex.
I don’t drink, so I can’t comment on the alcoholic beverages.
Also, this place is very loud. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want to have a quiet conversation.

Awesome Tex mex. My wife brought the burrito home and I’m shocked how fresh the ingredients are. You can really tell they prepped the dough/wraps the day of. If not, please let me know what magic is involved. Anyways, I’d give 9/10. Excited to come here and eat in person. Wow!

My wife was recommended this restaurant by a coworker, and I’ll be honest I was a little skeptical at first.
This is Houston, and Mexican food has serious competition here. But wow… we were completely blown away.
First off, our server Miguel was incredible. He was extremely friendly, professional, and very attentive. Especially for a younger server, that level of service is honestly hard to find these days. Super polite, smart, and on top of everything.
The food was extremely fresh; you can taste it in everything, from the rice to the beans. Nothing tasted pre-made or old. Everything came out hot and full of flavor.
We also took advantage of happy hour (all day today!), and the margaritas were absolutely worth it. Definitely pay the extra couple of dollars for the top-shelf (not sure the exact name, but trust me) — they were outstanding and a huge step up.
Between the great service, fresh food, and solid drinks, this place is now officially on our regular rotation. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
